Caravan Palace – Good Mouse | MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

We are proud to have created the hand-animated music video for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, in collaboration with Caravan Palace, PlaySide Studios, and Fumi Games. The project is part of the game’s official soundtrack and builds on its distinctive visual identity — a black-and-white, retro noir world inspired by 1930s animation and gangster cinema.

The music video is based on the track “Good Mouse,” produced exclusively for the game by Caravan Palace, whose signature style blends vintage jazz with modern electronic energy. In the video, we get a glimpse into the hard-boiled world of Mouseburg — filled with shady casinos, corrupt authorities, and classic noir characters — where the game’s detective, Jack Pepper, moves through a city where nothing is quite what it seems.

The entire film is hand-animated frame by frame by our team at BRIKK, with a focus on recreating the feel of classic “rubber hose” animation. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern rhythm and pacing, we have aimed to create a visual experience that feels both timeless and contemporary — where animation, music, and game world merge into a cohesive whole.

The result is a tribute to the early era of animation, while also reflecting the high energy and playful brutality of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire — a project where nostalgia and innovation meet in every frame.
